Aircraft Spirals Uncontrollably into Palm Trees at Well-Known California Coast
A chopper hovering over a well-attended southern California beach unexpectedly began spiraling uncontrollably, ultimately losing altitude and smashing into a row of palm fronds as onlookers watched.
Videos uploaded online capture the helicopter commencing to spiral over Huntington Beach then falling in the direction of the edge of the beach, where it ends up lodged among palms and a steps close to the Pacific Coast highway.
Rescue Operation Details
Local firefighters reported five persons were taken to hospital comprising two who were in the aircraft and were “extracted safely from the crash site” subsequent to the accident on the weekend.
Three individuals on the road were injured. Specifics on their condition were not immediately available.
The reason for the accident was not yet disclosed.
