Charli XCX Embraces a Twisted Persona of Her Own Identity in Fictional Documentary Preview

The Grammy-winning artist is getting ready for a major big screen presence in 2026, kicking off with the mockumentary titled The Moment.

In the film, she portrays what she describes as a dark version of herself.

It’s the most authentic portrayal of the entertainment world that I’ve ever witnessed, Charli remarked.

She elaborated in a discussion: It’s not a tour documentary, yet the concept originated from the pressure to create one.

An Early Look into The Project

The initial preview, launched on this week, mixes authentic footage from her live performances with imagined backstage scenes.

The film is directed and co-written by the director, who explained that the narrative focuses on a scenario where the singer opted for alternate decisions throughout the publicity of her chart-topping release Brat.
