Prince William is scheduled to attend the COP30 climate summit in Brazil in the coming weeks, as confirmed by the royal household.
The father and son duo appeared together on Thursday evening at a reception leading up to the environmental conference, which is set to be held in the Amazonian city of Belem.
The royal pair were in attendance at the scientific institution event, marking an rare public appearance together at a climate summit preparatory event organized in partnership with the British authorities.
Climate Leadership Dedication
The King has been a consistent supporter of protecting nature - and Prince William has assumed the responsibility, with his own Earthshot awards, which will be hosted in Rio ahead of the COP summit.
Royal sources have portrayed Prince William's attendance at the forthcoming conference as stepping up an important role in "global climate discussions".
Recent Engagements
The King and Prince of Wales, arriving together in the official car, were introduced to guests including conservation experts, scientists, climate change campaigners, diplomats and politicians.
This engagement featured addresses together with French leader Macron of France and other international figures at the Marine Economy Conference in Monaco during the current year.
Environmental Prize Link
The UN meeting will coincide with the prince's own Earthshot environmental awards, which will finish in the Brazilian city the previous day he attends the COP summit on November 6th.
Recently the prince described the award contenders as "contemporary champions".

The monarch has been a prominent presence at previous climate summits, providing the introductory remarks in Dubai for the 28th Conference of Parties, including the reminder: "Our responsibility is to protect the world we inhabit".
